Sheryl Sandberg, the Girl Scouts and a bunch of leading women have banded together to encourage us to ban the word "bossy" from our lexicon when we use it to describe girls. The B word has negative connotations when applied to girls, and it's almost never used with boys. Interesting campaign. I wish we could reclaim the word and transform it as a positive. Encourage young girls to demonstrate, as Sandberg says, "executive leadership skills." Bossy? The boss? Either way, lead.

Arizona legislature sanctions anti-gay legislation: gay people can be refused service at a business if the business owner feels it violates his or her religious beliefs to serve them. Because, of course, Jesus said that we should ostracize and shun gay people, right?
