So when it comes to creating buildings for the deaf and hearing impaired, different design strategies that help make up for missing sensory details need to be used. Among the features being used for the Gallaudet building: brightly colored walls and certain specialized levels of lighting to help prevent eye fatigue and make it easier for students to see sign language.</description>
