Application looks like a combination of hinged lock and car alarm and allows you to choose passcode and lock-unlock your phone with intuitive interface, authentic sounds and beautiful graphics.

Some features:

- Choose an alarm sound and its volume. Currently includes three different sound types.
- Choose a delay for motion sensor activation to get time to put phone on a table before lock, or just turn ON autlock mode. (It works when device senses no movement for 2 seconds after latch was closed.)
- Choose a delay for alarm activation. This will give you a few seconds to type a code and unlock it before alarm goes ON if you touched your device accidentally.
- Turn on screen blinking and vibration (iPhone only) to strengthen an alarm effect.
- Calibrate sensor sensitivity to prevent accidental moves.
- There is also a switch to turn off system auto-lock.

LEARN:

- When in Learn mode, the app will find all the blocks of text for your character and hilight them in pale yellow.

- Next and Prev-ious buttons on the main script view will allow you to quickly skip thru the script to find your lines, so you don't have to fuss with scrolling thru and finding them. These partly transparent buttons are placed unobtrusively on the right side of the screen to provide maximum text viewing space.

- A couple of cue lines from the prior character's dialog is displayed in white background immediately above your lines when you use the Next/Prev buttons.

REHEARSE:

- When in Rehearse mode, your character's dialog is masked out (hidden) in solid yellow, and only the character's name is in pale yellow hilight. The prior and next character's lines are displayed in white, so you know where you are in the script.

- If you forget your lines and need a quick cue, just touch one of the solid yellow lines, and it will temporarily turn transparent so you can read the text underneath...to jog your memory while rehearsing.

Start/end:

Buttons are provided on the Setup screen to jump to the start and end of the script. These are not on the main script view to help you from pressing them accidentally and losing your place.

Transferring your files to the app:

Use the free WiFi file transfer applications at hh.diffent.com for Mac and Windows.

File format:

The app displays ordinary text files, so you will have to export a text file from whatever system the script is stored in (such as Word, Final Draft, PDF, etc). Typically you can ask your local computer guy how to do this if you don't know how...it varies, depending on the software you are using. Sometimes you just have to do a File/Save As (plain text)...sometimes you have to convert to text...other times you have to Edit / Select All, then copy/paste the script into a plain text editor like Notepad or Text Edit and just save it.

HH/BB will automatically remove any indents at the beginning of lines to make your script easier to read on the phone.

Your place is saved:

The app automatically saves your place in the script. The next time you start it, everything is as you left it. If you have to take a call while rehearsing, you will not lose your place.

Demo:

A couple of public domain works by Wm.Shakespeare are installed with the app for demo purposes. Go to the Setup tab, Change Script to twelfthniteintro.txt, then type a character's name such as duke or viola into the CHARACTER field. A search is performed to hilight all of that character's lines. Then go back to the Script tab and press the blue Next button. You will be taken to the first place the character's name appears in the play. From then on it should be obvious.

Other:

The app automatically searches for up-case character names to correspond to standard scriptwriting conventions. You can shut off this feature with the "as-is" button on the Setup screen if you have a non-standard script.

When it finds your CHARACTER's name, dialog will be hilighted up to the next "double space" (blank line) in the script. Hence, if there are song lyrics with blank lines to indicate verse or chorus breaks, it will not hilight all of the song. Learning songs is a bit different than learning dialog, so you may find this to be acceptable.
