Welcome to the second successful recording of Echo Romeo Kilo since Erk's return to Australia. This episode was recorded using Erk's new iPhone, an iPhone application called iTalk Lite and a lapel micrphone. This episode starts at Town Hall station. Then Erk goes to Kings Cross which is Sydney's red light district. The episode was recorded just before sunset on a Saturday night. A few hours into the future and the episode may have been sounding a lot different! The ambient noise (and the area, for that matter) was a lot quieter than Erk expected. The time of day and the rainy weather might have had something to do with that. You may notice some language in this one, especially when Erk walks past a verbal argument between a homeless guy and an elderly man.

Welcome to the first successful recording of Echo Romeo Kilo since Erk's return to Australia. A few days before this episode, Erk recorded at Westiefield but it was full of FAIL. This episode was recorded using Erk's new iPhone, an iPhone application called iTalk Lite and a lapel micrphone. This episode starts in a train between Strathfield and Central. Erk starts by sitting in the passenger area where it is a lot quieter on these intercity trains. Then he moves into the area behind the driver's cab near the passenger doors where the ambient noise increases. Erk then walks from the intercity platforms to the suburban platforms and catches a train to Town Hall. After a couple of Channel Erk promos (including the new promo for Echo), some hours have passed. In the second half of the episode (that was actually recorded after Echo 50), Erk spends some time on the suburban platforms at Central station.

Welcome to episode 35 of Blast From The Past. This is a very different episode of Blast From the Past for several reasons. Firstly, there is no Erk. That means that Judy is flying solo on this episode. Why? Well, Judy has been wanting to do this episode for a while. No, it isn't Horses part 2 or Elephants part 3. They are coming. This episode is a relaxation episode. For many years, Judy has been using a relaxation tape to help her get to sleep. A few listeners have said that this show relaxes them and puts them in a good mood to sleep so they do. So instead of our usual format, Judy decides to make a relaxation tape with her voice instead of the lady on her tape. So sit back (or lie down) and relax. Relax. Relax. Relax. Calm blue ocean. Blast From The Past 34 - Fire

Welcome to episode 34 of Blast From The Past. On this episode, we have a look at Erk & Judy's involvement with fire. One of Judy's jobs with the Army (listen back to episode 33 if you haven't heard why Judy worked for the Army) was to work the fire siren on the base and to notify the on-site fire brigade and the local fire brigade about fire drills and actual fires. Later she joined what was then the Bush Fire service (and what is now the NSW Rural Fire Service) as a trainee volunteer in communications. A few years later, Erk also joined the NSW RFS, firstly as a firefighter and then also in communications. On this episode, you will also hear Erk and Squeak talk about their roles in the NSW Rural Fire Service. This interview was conducted by Squeak as a part of National Podcasting Post Month (aka Nannapoopoo) last November. And finally there is a song and the poems are back!
