Asian group BeFRee this time released a French movie called “High Lane”, aka “Vertige”. Again, don’t know what this is, but the poster is pretty attractive, don’t you think? Size is 2CD with nice AC3 audio, check it out!

Right from the initial movie in the franchise this is a genre that has attracted fans. Each and every one in the series has had it’s strengths for those that love a good automobile fatality. Even though I am not such a big fan of horror movies I will consider this on a quiet weekend given the hype it has attracted. Graphic violence abounds and is to be expected and realistically welcomed. Eventually this series of movies (this being the 4th installment) will have to come to it’s necessary end but for now here is the latest for your enjoyment. Definitely good quality audio and video again here too.

PLOT: Judy is having trouble drumming up business for her vegetarian restaurant, and the landlord gives her four days to pay off the mortgage. It’s been a good week for documentaries and Louie Psihoyo’s work examining the brutal slaughter of Dolphins by the Japanese continues the trend. Part agitprop, part “special op’s” mission this is at times an insightful piece but is only very slightly flawed in that it does not offer a complete canvas of the issues. Very well made and sometimes heart wrenching and also quite graphic, please enjoy!

Synopsis: In the 1960s, Richard O’Barry enjoyed a lucrative career as a specialized animal trainer; he captured the five dolphins that were used in the popular television series Flipper, and taught them the tricks and special commands they used on the show. Four decades later, O’Barry has renounced his former life as a trainer and become an animal rights activist, speaking out against the hunting of aquatic mammals and keeping them in captivity. O’Barry is not welcome in Taiji, a town along the Japanese coast where hunting dolphins is a major part of the local economy, but he and a group of activist filmmakers made their way into the city as well as the carefully guarded harbor in hopes of documenting the abuse of dolphins by fisherman and the poisoning of the waters that has taken a toll on the marine ecology. O’Barry and his colleagues captured some beautiful underwater footage as well as shocking images of how the town’s fisherman have sullied the dolphins and their habitat, and director Louie Psihoyos has used this material as the basis for the documentary The Cove, which received its world premiere at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.

Group LAP here with what seems to be a very nice horror release. Story is based on a Clive Barker short story (yup, the dude from Hellraiser series), and has received some nice reviews so far. It’s also been added to next years “After Dark Horror Fest” lineup, which has some pretty awesome horror movies each year. Quality is pretty good as you can see from samples, so enjoy guys!

PLOT: Nokiro’s teenage daughter has killed one of her classmates. A man named Junichi is the father of the girl who was killed. One year later, in a small industrial town, Junichi is now shuttling between his lodgings and his job at a foundry. Every day he sees Noriko who works as a cook at the inn. They never speak or exchange looks but they do recognize one another. Each remains isolated in their own world–they have given up on life due to their shared painful past. Suddenly, Junichi decides to buy Noriko a present. A relationship slowly develops between them. Gradually, they emerge from their grief, regaining a taste for life again.

aAF brought us this drama with pretty good IMDB rating and no so famous actors, to be honest I don’t know any of the actors in this movie.

Movie Description:
Those of us who have travelled the Australian Outback will recognise the backdrop to “Samson and Delilah” – aboriginals living in squalid housing amidst household garbage, derelict cars and ubiquitous dust. Warwick Thornton sets himself the difficult task of depicting the monotony, hopelessness and despair of this existence without boring and depressing the audience. To a large measure he succeeds, although this film will not appeal to those you go to the cinema to escape the real world. Thornton’s great skill is to convey the developing relationship between the star-crossed lovers via body language rather than dialogue. The performances by untrained actors, especially Marissa Gibson (Delilah), are exceptional. Your view of this film is likely to be determined by whether you can empathise with the main characters and their inevitable misadventures. I certainly did, although I concede Samson’s character was underdeveloped and very hard to like. Appropriately, the movie ends with a glimmer of hope based on the resilience and determination of aboriginal women.

Here is VH-PROD with a release of “Jackass: The Lost Tapes”. If you liked previous Jackass shows you might want to check out this as well. Although some say most of the stunts are the same it is always a good laugh. It’s not Jackass 2 so don’t be expecting too much. I hope part three gets released without anybody dieing (knock on wood right now!). It is still in production and filming starts in January of 2010. Anyway, this is a good laugh so enjoy!

Quality: Its a 4/3 aspect ratio, sound and video are great. Ripped in 29 fps due to ghosting as mentioned in nfo.

Synopsis: This collection of never-before-seen footage from the cast of Jackass includes segments and stunts that never made their way into the broadcast series, including such gems as Stun Collar, Fast Food Football, Roller Jump, Self Defense, Satan vs. God, and more. Group GFW released the FS DVDRip of this movie a few months ago, here is a better WS DVDRip released by LPD today. (But notice, 720p & 1080p already released in October too) “New Town Killers” is a United Kingdom drama film written and directed by Richard Jobson, starring James Anthony Pearson and Dougray Scott.It follows two business men, portrayed by Dougray Scott and Alastair Mackenzie, who play macabre cat and mouse games with people from the fringes of society. PLOT: Two private bankers, Alistair and Jamie, who have the world at their feet get their kicks from playing a 12 hour game of hunt, hide and seek with people from the margins of society. I loved this film when I watched it as to me it was one of the funniest films this year. Also I’ve got the IMDB score to back it, it’s something like 8/10 with 80,000 votes. Anyway if you want a film to have a good laugh at then check this one out.

Quality: Good quality as it’s from a high quality source.

Synopsis: A blowout Las Vegas bachelor party turns into a race against time when three hung-over groomsmen awaken after a night of drunken debauchery to find that the groom has gone missing, and attempt to get him to the alter in time for his wedding. In 48 hours, Doug is scheduled to walk down the aisle, effectively ending his reign as a rowdy bachelor. Realizing that this is their last blowout with their best friend, Doug’s groomsmen organize a Sin City bachelor bash he’ll never forget. The next morning, the groomsmen come to in their Caesar’s Palace suite to find a tiger in the bathroom and a six-month-old baby tucked away in the closet. Unfortunately, Doug is nowhere to be found. With no memory of the previous night’s transgressions and precious little time to spare, the trio sets out on a hazy attempt to retrace their steps and discover exactly where things went wrong. Will they find Doug in time to get him to the wedding back in Los Angeles, or will his bride experience the sharp sting of disappointment when she walks down the aisle to discover that her future husband is nowhere to be found? Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, and Heather Graham star in a rambunctious comedy from Old School director Todd Phillips.

VoMiT brings us a DVDRip of NBC’s holiday animation Merry Madagascar. There should be a short film just about the penguins. Dammit those crazy birds, they are funny! This should be an excellent watch for the kids and you will probably enjoy it as well. Don’t forget to check out a 720p rip here from DIMENSION.

Quality: Excellent DVDRip. Previous release was nuked (bad crop).

Synopsis: DreamWorks Animation presents a brand new holiday adventure starring everyone’s favorite Central Park zoosters. “Merry Madagascar” begins when Santa (Carl Reiner) and his sleigh unexpectedly crash land on the island, giving the jolly gentleman a case of amnesia. So it falls to Alex (Ben Stiller), Marty (Chris Rock), Melman (David Schwimmer), and Gloria (Jada Pinkett Smith) along with the ever-inventive Penguins to deliver the presents and save Christmas. And, it doesn’t hurt that Santa’s sleigh just might be able to make a little trip to New York City so they can finally return to their beloved home. But, during their appointed rounds, the four re-discover the magic of giving and that it’s ultimately more important than their own wish to return home. Throw in a long-lasting North Pole/South Pole rivalry between the Penguins and Santa’s Reindeer, magic flying dust and a King Julien-based holiday called (what else?) ‘Julianuary’ and “Merry Madagascar” serves up a comedic holiday story like no other!
