Longtime Redondo Beach political strategist Stephen Kinney dies

Stephen Kinney, a longtime political strategist and consultant whose client list over the years featured a "who's who" of California politics, has died. The Redondo Beach resident was 69. Kinney waged a 16-year battle with prostate cancer before he died on Sunday, his wife said.
