A man who jumped to his death from the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro has been identified as Brad Dean Dodd, 47, of Long Beach, coroner's officials said Thursday.

A man drove up to the apex of the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro Sunday night, scaled the security fence, and jumped to his death, a Port of Los Angeles official said. It is the same spot from which "Top Gun" director Tony Scott jumped to his death last August.
