UPDATE: FairPoint loses $77 million in third quarter

CONCORD, N.H. - Bankrupt FairPoint Communications lost $77 million in the third quarter. The loss in the quarter that ended Sept. 30, came on revenues of $268.3 million. Revenues were off 18.3 percent from the same period in 2008. The company said total voice access lines in service fell 9.3 percent in the year between Sept.

BENNINGTON -- A Pleasant Street man pleaded not guilty in Bennington District Court to stealing two dirt bikes from a locked shed. Jerry Crandall, 20, pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of burglary and grand larceny.
